Because today in the UK, the system is broken. Businesses built by women get just 2% of investment. And businesses built by Black women get 0.02%. Frankly, that’s inexcusable.
Too many innovative, purposeful entrepreneurs are falling through the cracks in a manmade system. We need change. And to level the playing field for women entrepreneurs, we need to provide more women and ally investors with a practical platform to invest in them.
So that’s what we do at Obu.
